Field Service Engineering (FSE)

SCT engineers have a vast amount of experience in retail I.T.  This is because SCT engineers have been maintaining not only the sites of it’s own clients but multiple contracts on behalf UK I.T. service companies in Ireland and Northern Ireland for over 20 years.  This means we have expertise working with a wide range of hardware, operating systems and software applications.

Quality Control – Engineering Department

In 2010 we implemented a quality control measure within our service department.  We wanted to give our maintenance contract clients the ability to audit our engineering resources or field service engineers.

We created a ‘Field Service Engineers guide’ with add on modules specific to each of our maintenance contracts and this is regularly updated.  Our staff are regularly trained on all aspects of Quality Control procedures.

FSE  Administration 

In 2010 SCT moved away from paper based call sheets, signoffs and some of the small procedure documents.  We implemented a Smart Phone solution.  Using  a Smart Phone application for data capture, signatures and photo’s has greatly improved the speed in which we get the data back to our support centre and keeping our client’s updated on the status of logged calls.

Recently through in-house development we have created our own applications, as well as access to our stock database via the Smart Phone, resulting in real-time stock transfers from site.  Also the engineers have access to our secure web-portal which contains procedures/troubleshooting guides/software and forums.
